About me
Douglas Sanders, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon at UF Health Surgical Specialists – Medical Center of Deltona.
Dr. Sanders began his medical education at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, where he completed his medical degree and basic surgery residency. He later moved to Orlando, Florida, where he pursued a general surgery residency and served as chief resident at Orlando Health, formerly known as Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Most recently, Dr. Sanders practiced in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he served as a member of the Surgical Growth Advisory Committee, the Surgical Quality Committee and the Medical Executive Committee, and accepted the role of chief of surgery at St. Lucie Medical Center.
In addition, he holds Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
